Potato Fingers

Ingredients:

Plain Potato Sticks:

  • Water ½ Cup
  • Cooking oil 1 teaspoon
  • Semolina ½ Cup
  • Potatoes boiled & cubes 300 gms
  • Chaat masala 1 & ½ teaspoons or to taste
  • Salt 1 & ½ teaspoons or to taste
  • Red chili crushed 1 & ½ teaspoons
  • Fresh coriander chopped ¼ Cup
  • Rice flour ½ Cup
  • Cooking oil for frying

BBQ Potato Sticks:

  • Chicken powder 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder 1 teaspoon
  • BBQ Sauce 1 tablespoon
  • Cooking oil for frying

Preparation:

For Plain Potato Sticks:

  1. In a saucepan, add water, cooking oil and bring it to boil.
  2. Turn off the flame, add semolina, mix well, cover and let it rest for 10 minutes then mix well and set aside.
  3. In bowl, add potatoes and mash well.
  4. Add chaat masala, salt, red chili crushed, fresh coriander, rice flour and mix until well combined.
  5. Now add cooked semolina mixture and mix well.
  6. Divide the potato mixture into two parts.
  7. Grease hands with oil, take a mixture and make sticks of equal sizes.
  8. In wok, heat cooking oil and fry potato fingers until golden brown.

For BBQ Potato Sticks:

  1. In potato mixture, add chicken powder, garlic powder, BBQ sauce and mix well.
  2. Grease hands with oil, take a mixture and make sticks of equal sizes.
  3. In wok, heat cooking oil and fry potato fingers until golden brown.

Serve the potato fingers with ketchup and mayonnaise.
