Enjoy the refreshing drink



  • Fennel seeds 1 & ½ tablespoons
  • Black peppercorns 1 teaspoon
  • Green cardamom 20-25
  • Melon seeds 3 tablespoons
  • Sunflower seeds 2 tablespoons
  • Cantaloupe seeds 3 tablespoons
  • Rose petal dried 1/4 Cup
  • Almonds ½ Cup
  • Poppy seeds 3 tablespoons
  • Water
  • Water 1 Cup or as required
  • Water 1-2 tablespoons or as required
  • Water 1 & ½ litre or as required 
  • Water if required
  • Sugar 700 gms
  • Thadal 1/4 Cup or to taste
  • Water 1 Cup
  • Ice cubes


  1. In a bowl, place strainer, add fennel seeds, black peppercorns, green cardamom, melon seeds, sunflower seeds, cantaloupe seeds, rose petal dried, almonds and poppy seeds.
  2. Gradually add water and wash thoroughly.
  3. In a bowl, add washed nuts mixture, water and soak for 3-4 hours.
  4. In a grinder, add soaked nuts mixture, water and grind to make a paste and take out in a bowl.
  5. In a wok, add water, grinded paste, mix well and bring it to boil, cook on medium low flame for 6-8 minutes and keep mixing in between.
  6. Let it cool down.
  7. On bowl, place strainer, muslin cloth and strain the whole mixture properly.
  8. If required, add water and strain again.
  9. In a wok, add strained mixture, sugar, mix well and bring it to boil.
  10. Cook on medium low flame for 10-12 minutes or until thickens and color changes.
  11. Let it cool down.
  12. Can be stored in refrigerator for 1 week (yields approx. 1.5 litres).
  13. Shake well before use.
  14. In a serving glass, add thadal, water and mix well.
  15. Add ice cubes and serve!
